Aging Revolution Summit to Address the Future of Aging Services

Today the 2008 Aging Revolution Summit will bring together widely recognized thought leaders in government, business and academia to discuss and debate the future of aging services. Issues such as the financial challenges plaguing Social Security and Medicare, the social and economic impact of increased longevity and the kind of national leadership that is needed to effect change are some of the pivotal topics that will be explored by a roster of notables that includes former 2008 Republican presidential candidate and U.S. senator Fred D. Thompson as keynote speaker and David M. Walker, former Comptroller General of the United States and now President and CEO of the Peter G. Peterson Foundation, as special guest commentator.

Additionally, other well-known participants throughout the event will include Margaret Carlson, political correspondent for the Bloomberg News; Dr. Mark McClellan, former Administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services; Congressman Earl Pomeroy, Co-Chair of the House of Representatives Long-term Care Caucus; and Nora Dowd Eisenhower, Pennsylvania Secretary of Aging.
